DETX Photoinitiator (CAS 82799-44-8), also known as 2,4-Diethylthioxanthone, is a Type II photoinitiator used as a UV sensitizer in radical polymerization systems. It does not generate radicals directly, but works with amine synergists to improve curing efficiency in UV ink, UV coating, and UV adhesive formulations.
In UV curing systems, DETX Photoinitiator is mainly used to extend light absorption into the 365–385 nm range, making it suitable for LED UV curing and pigmented systems where depth curing is required. It is widely selected by formulators in UV ink manufacturers, UV coating manufacturers, and industrial adhesive producers.
UVIXE supplies DETX Photoinitiator for stable formulation performance, batch consistency, and export-ready documentation including TDS, SDS, and COA.
